Why the Name?
Wander or Bust is a clever play on the word “wanderlust”, usually defined as a strong desire to travel. If you’re not American, “or bust” is an old phrase that basically means you’ll die trying. So, travel or die trying? That sounds depressing. Rather, it’s more to express my desire to get out into the world and explore as much as I can. And I’m making this travel blog to inspire others to do the same, regardless of their experience or budget.
Who Am I?
I’m just your classic American teen … Well, somewhat. I was born in Hawaii, have lived in over a dozen different places, and have traveled to a growing number of states and countries. I got my first DSLR when I was 15 years old and went on a trip to Iceland. Since then, life’s been on the up-and-up.
I’m not interested in traveling full time like so many other people. I don’t think that’d be a comfortable lifestyle. So, I’m just trying to make the most of my own life by going to as many cool places as possible, learning as many languages as I can, and crossing off my BUCKET LIST as I go.
Why Did I Start a Travel Blog?
I’ve spent my whole life telling other people there’s a better way to do that. There’s an easier way to pack that. There’s a faster way to get there. There’s a cheaper way to get that. There’s a better thing over there. There’s a smarter way to find that.
It turns out people don’t like to hear that so much. That’s why I’ve turned to the internet. People are always searching for those answers on here that I can provide. So here you go—an entire blog dedicated to traveling better
I’m far from perfect. And I won’t lie and say I have the best advice. But if I found a better way to get somewhere or do something or travel somewhere, you best believe it will be on here. I’ll also let you know if the worst ways to do something so you don’t make the same mistakes I’ve made.
